I (Morbius) never signed up for selective services when i turned eighteen and i was never forced to by anyone to sign up. Its was MY RIGHT! But i guess, times have change and so has our freedom...
Now when our son(s) or you yourself, if you are a male about to be eighteen, you will receive a letter in the mail stating that you must by LAW sign up with Selective Services or as it's better known as "The Draft".
Most of you are thinking, "What if someone doesn't sign up?" Well, if they don't sign up, they will be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison or pay a fine of up to 250,000 dollars. But that's not all folks! Another issue is the FEDERAL BENEFITS that You will be denied of... (depending how long it take's to bring your case to trial)
- FEDERAL JOBS
A man must be registered to be eligible for jobs in the Executive Branch of the Federal government and the U.S. Postal Service. This applies only to men born after December 31, 1959. - STUDENT FINANCIAL AID
Men who are not registered with Selective Service cannot obtain Federal student loans or grants. This includes Pell Grants, College Work Study, Guaranteed Student/Plus Loans, and National Direct Student Loans. - FEDERAL JOB TRAINING
The Workforce Investment Act (formerly JTPA) offers important job-training opportunities. This program is only open to those men who register with Selective Service. - STATE JOBS, LOANS, AND TRAINING
Most states have added additional penalties for those who fail to register with Selective Service.
Of course we cant leave the immigrants out of this great re-deduction of FREEDOM!
- CITIZENSHIP
The U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) makes registration with Selective Service a condition for U.S. citizenship, if the man first arrived in the U.S. before his 26th birthday and was required to register. And if that wasn't enough! Now, in 19 states it is required to sign up for Selective Services before you can go for your Drivers License!!
- STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE LEGISLATION
As of May 16, 2002, 19 states, 2 territories, and the District of Columbia have enacted driver's license laws supporting Selective Service registration. They are Oklahoma, Delaware, Arkansas, Utah, Georgia, Hawaii, Alabama, Florida, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Illinois, Ohio, South Dakota, Mississippi, Idaho, Virginia, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Virgin Islands.
The best part is when you go to any of these government websites the first thing they say is "While a draft is not likely". REALLY?? The United States military is deployed in more than 150 countries around the world (the Herd is thinning out) Not to mention, where in a never ending war against Terrorism!
THESE ARE THE WARS THE U.S ARE CURRENTLY ACTIVE IN:
WAR ON TERROR: | 7 October 2001 – Present |
OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM: | 7 October 2001 present |
(OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM - PHILIPPINES)
OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM - HORN OF AFRICA OCTOBER 7 2002 - ongoing
AND WHO KNOWS WHAT OTHER COUNTRY IN THE NEAR FUTURE THE U.S WILL FIND THAT IS ALSO THREATENING OUR "FREEDOM"... GOOD THING THE U.S NEVER LOOKS AT IT'S SELF, BECAUSE IF IT DID... IT WOULD HAVE TO COMMIT SUICIDE! SMH....
PEACE.
